Self re-Discovery

First of all, Happy Eid Mubarak to everyone who celebrates - myself included. If it's so hard to do  it before, let this day be the day for you to let go and forgive others but remember to not exclude yourself to receive some forgiveness too. Forgive yourself first, love yourself first. It's also been more than two months for me staying at home. Bored? Obviously. Anxious? No doubt. But strangely speaking, I feel content too. My guess, I've been dealing with it one step at a time and I can finally able to see the end of it. Peace. The anxiety comes back once in awhile but I no longer feel the need to fight back, so I accept it. And it's gone sooner than I thought it would.

I've been skipping Corona virus updates for awhile to ease my anxiety

I know some of you probably feel the same. At the first phase of quarantine - mid March, I also felt like I'm losing some sense in me. The feeling of -'few seconds more than this, I'm gonna lose it' constantly reached my mind. No amount of video calls could help. I wanted to go out, but going out made me dizzy. I treated everyone like a carrier even my family members. I spent a crazy ton of time scrolling through e-commerces and a crazy ton more of money to redecorate my room. Just for the sake of 'I'm doing everything I could to stay sane!'

Lemon Butter Dory Pasta, So YUMM!

Hi, human!
I'm back with food review today. Few days ago, I found a new cafe in my hometown. The Oldman Coffee. It serves pasta too and you know how much I love pasta. I think it's a good thing that my little hometown has grown up now. Just like they say, the more the merrier. I love how people here start to think to build their own business like opening a cafe or coffee shop which is what teenagers need nowadays. A place to hang out, to enjoy the wind while sipping a cup of hot cappuccino.

So, I and my friend tried to give it a visit yesterday. They said it's open at 1 PM, but it's actually ready to serve at around 2. We waited in the car like an hour before we can enter the cafe. And I can't bad mouthing them again because the service is actually nice. They said their apology and they gave us lemon waters while we were waiting for them to get ready with the day.

You know, compassion and kindness turn me on. And I admit that we were being a little annoying with asking about their menu one by one. Yes, we literally asking almost all the dish they serve. Like "What picture can your barista draw for my hot drinks?" or "are these mocktails contain alcohol?" or "what is your sandwich consist of?" or "what is the difference of your white burger and black burger?" and the questions were going on and on and on. And the waiter answered every damn question patiently :)

Let's jump to the food and beverages, shall we? We finally ordered a cup of hot cappuccino, a green tea latte, lemon butter dory pasta, and black burger. And I'm gonna say, I love them! The cappuccino smells great and the taste is even better. It's so creamy and spoon-licking worthy. The barista drew me a cat and I didn't think it's a cat, but it was still cute.

The green tea latte is also not bad, It isn't too sweet nor bitter just the way I like it. But I think I love the cappuccino more. The lemon butter dory pasta is ... well I must say, it's a plate-licking worthy. It's suuuupeeer delicious! they didn't put mint leaves above my pasta like what it's shown in the picture on instagram, but it doesn't matter. The dory fish is so soft and not fishy. The black burger was my friend's and I didn't try it. So I can't give you a review. But she said it's delicious too.

well. what do you think? Is it a cat or a bear?

What I Wore Today

Garasi Mamam jacket, Body & Soul pants, Zara wedges

I rarely wear monochrome outfit. Did you notice? It just one of that few moments when I decide to wear monochrome. Besides, I got challenged by Adhi Wahyudi! I just have to answer that ;) I swear I already wore that 'NERD' crop top so many times. I usually did a garage sale once in a few months. But I don't know why that top never entered my list of "must sell items". I guess I just love it so much?

COLORBOX Indonesia (Surabaya Fashion Parade 2015)

A few days ago, I got an invitation to be one of COLORBOX's (http://www.colorbox.co.id) guest for Surabaya Fashion Parade 2015. Surabaya Fashion Parade is the most prestigious fashion event in East Java. It's a fashion week than start the Surabaya Shopping Festival this month. A whole month full of sale? Who can resist that?
Okay so back to COLORBOX, is the young girls fashion brand (15- 25 years old) with fashionable styles and affordable prices. COLORBOX is all about having fun in fashion. They consistently offer the newest trends and styles and only the most up to date developments are sourced from around the globe, combining style with quality materials to produce the clothing and accessories you see in the store.
And I'm so glad to be their guest because their fashion show was the most enjoyable fashion show I've ever seen live. You know, I came to the place before the event started. And even though I enjoyed the show, I think all the show is quite "ordinary". Until I heard the song 'Fancy' from Iggy Azalea and COLORBOX started their show. And why I think COLORBOX fashion show is enjoyable because their models looked so happy dancing, posing and just having fun on stage. They didn't walk in rigid with eyes always staring straight ahead, instead, they just simply had fun.
Check updates of their collection on website (COLORBOX), facebook (Colorbox Indonesia), twitter (@colorbox_id), and instagram (@colorboxindonesia)

Have my eyes set on that boots and transparent back pack :)

I Heart Oreo

One of the things I love about blogging is I get the chance to meet a lot of new people around the world. Find new friends and develop the connection. And I love giving a fashion advise to people who ask me. Even tho' most of the time they think my advise is ridiculous. But it's not all that. People staring all the time I took a shoot in public place. Such as mall, park, or on road. They might think I'm crazy when I stand in the middle of the road. And they might talk about how weird I am. God I would never get used to it. With people staring. I think that's the risk I have to take. Being a fashion blogger means you have to close your eyes from the surroundings and don't be ashamed whenever you take some shoots. When I took the shoot for this post, cars passed all the time and my nieces annoyed the hell out of me by stood in front of the camera whenever I was ready for being photographed. I really hope you don't notice my annoyed expression in these photos.
I'm wearing Oreo sweater in this post. Because even though I have to do treadmill for one hour straight to burn the calories, I still love Oreo to the moon and back :D
